Language has consequences, sometimes very real consequences. In many cases, it rises to the level of actual actions themselves. Our beloved Bible tells us very plainly, clearly, and often the tongue is a fire and should be carefully controlled. Despite our Constitution allowing us the perfect freedom of speech, and of press, WE THE PEOPLE should say what we mean and mean what we say. The right words or the wrong words can have a lifetime-lasting meaning.
This is a lesson the Democratic Party should well learn. It is especially so for the Democratic politicians who represent the progressive branch of the Party, because their far-left language is often elitist and not understandable, hurting the Party with the American voters, and, as one pundit said, the language is just “plain weird.” What those woke, radical, progressive politicians say puts them out of touch with the real people, the voters.
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, a Democrat, has urged his Party members to TALK LIKE A NORMAL HUMAN BEING.
So often, these elitist Democrats use terms like “allyship,” whatever that means, and another, “food insecurity” instead of just the good old plain English language term “HUNGRY.” And yet another: SOCIAL EQUITY.
“Why,” said Democratic Senator of Arizona Ruben Gallego, “Why do we say that? We don’t we simply say in plain English: WE WANT YOU TO HAVE AN EVEN CHANCE.”
Social equity can mean any number of things and flies over the head of the common man. Rahm Emanuel advised his Party to: “IGNORE THE CULTURE POLICE”
Speak plain English to relate to the average citizen and the common man. “Some words,” said another, “are just too Ivy League.” Said yet another
Democrat concerned with progressive and radical influence in the party, such as these SOCIAL ADVOCATES, said:
“DEMOCRATS HAVE BEGUN TO SPEAK LIKE PROFESSORS AND STARTED USING ADVOCACY-SPEAK. THAT LANGUAGE MAKES DEMOCRATS USING THIS SPEECH SOUND LIKE THEY ARE NOT NORMAL.”
It sure does, and I, for one, wonder if, in fact, these people and what they say are normal, real Americans, people who care to communicate the great and lasting values of this even greater country.
So said another centrist Democrat:
“STOP USING DOZENS OF RIDICULOUS TERMS. SUCH LANGUAGE PREVENTS US FROM CONNECTING WITH VOTERS. TO PLEASE THE FEW, THE ELITIST AND THE EXTREME ACADEMICS, WE HAVE ALIENATED THE MANY. OUR LANGUAGE CAN SOUND SUPERIOR, HAUGHTY, AND ARROGANT.”
But the extreme woke, ultra-progressive element of the Democratic Party is a very slow learner. They continue to support DEI, which the vast majority of Americans reject. The most off-putting new language which the radical Democrats use substitutes the familiar and loving terms “father and mother” with:
GESTATING PARENT
AND
NON-GESTATING PARENT
I, for one, would pull the voting lever for any other candidate or Party. And you, the American citizen and voter, doesn’t this turn you off? Aren’t you concerned about how people who think and talk like this might be in a position of political power to make you talk the same way?
And another example of the radical, woke language comes from a representative from Missouri wants to replace the term EX-FELON with:
QUALIFIED CRIMINAL-JUSTICE-IMPACTED INDIVIDUAL
Say what? What in the name of Bernie Sanders does that mean?
And women who are privileged to become mothers now should be referred to as:
BIRTHING INDIVIDUALS
AND
BIRTHING PEOPLE
rather than proud mothers.
My fellow Americans, the more weird the language, even weirder are the underlying ideas and what is inside the heads and hearts of those would-be politicians.
And, WE THE REAL AMERICAN PEOPLE have not even begun to feel the language, idea, and action influence of the far-left, unbelievably radical candidates who are associated with the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) who now become elected and may eventually control (aggressive socialists) the Democratic Party. All this stuff, all this new language, is known as:
ADVOCACY SPEAK.
It now becomes an essential part of the Democratic language. Such language is talk-down to people. “We are,” said one Democrat, “talking at people instead of to them.” Unfortunately, right-thinking Democrats, the few, are simply proposing cosmetic changes and not systematic ones to the language and the communication style of the Democratic Party. However, in reality, all these woke Democrats mean is doing away with woke terminology if, in fact, it allows the Democratic Party to implement the woke ideas behind them. GOD HELP AMERICA.
“All of this is really,” said one critic, “simply an exercise in insincerity.” There is a recognition among Democrats its words are offensive and off-putting, but the Party must go further and recognize its ideas, the ideas behind these new words, are just unacceptable.
What has happened to the once great Democratic Party? How did it lose its real American foundation? More importantly, how did it let these radicals begin to not only influence, but gradually take over the party which once did such good for America, like a Bernie Sanders, AOC, Zohran Mamdani, and others like them, HOW? And how, I ask, could right-thinking Americans vote for Democratic radicals, HOW?
